Climate Change Poster

For our first project of the year, we were tasked to create a poster advertising a (fake) climate change event at either a museum or gallery. I decided to focus upon the rising sea levels as I feel that this is one of the most important consequences of climate change. For my idea, I created a poster with a dying whale holding up a city, representing how we're killing off sea life with pollution. I also wanted to convey how we would be living if the sea levels continue to rise, but I don't feel that this came across as strongly as I wanted it to.

These are two of the other designs I came up with for the poster, I opted to go for the whale as I felt that it had a more cohesive look to it and it would also stand out more on a billboard or on a wall because of the level of detail in the image and because of it's purple colour scheme.
